My body has changed.
I still have weight to lose, my stretch marks and linea negra may or may not fade, and my boobs don’t quite sit where they used to. I hope to lose the weight and I hope the marks fade. But somehow these stretch marks give me a confidence as a reminder of the hard work I did. If a stranger saw me in a bathing suit they would know I’m a mom, and I think there’s something powerful about my skin showing it. I’d earn these stripes a thousand times over to have my boy.
My body has changed, and I’m okay with that.
